Title: Drift Socks
Post by: StarBoard7 on September 26, 2011, 05:34:44 PM
Hey guys,

I have a 19.5 Ranger Bass boat w/200hp merc.
I have recently started fishing Lake Erie and realized there are times when I may need a drift sock or 2.

I am just looking for any opinions on certain brands/size and how many I may need.

The easier to use the better for me lol.

Thanks all.

Two would be best. Just make sure you get ones that have an attachment at the small end for a longer rope so you can pull them in easier. Most of them come with that but there might be some real cheap ones out there that don't.

I have one I got at Cabelas and of course it says Cabelas on it.  I think it's this one.  I took a piece of rope and tied it to the sock in the middle of rope and put hooks on both ends.  I then hook the rope on my cleats when I drift.  Works really well.
