NEW YORK -- An Internet poker company that was blocked from operating in the U.S. in the spring as part of an online gambling crackdown was "not a legitimate poker company, but a global Ponzi scheme," federal prosecutors said Tuesday.
The popular Full Tilt Poker website illegally raided player accounts to fund operations and make lavish payments to its owners, Justice Department lawyers said in a revised civil lawsuit filed in New York.

The article mentions two other major online gambling sites that are in similar trouble.
I've turned down every offer of advertising I've received from online gambling sites. Just can't take the risk and some contracts require not having that type of advertising. For good reason maybe.
No wonder why I could never win any money! ::)
Luckily... I don't know how to play poker. Dodged that bullet anyway!
Makes me glad I have never been interested in gambling. I always have to have something to show for my money being spent.
Growing up my Dad told me, "If you can hold a dollar out the window of a moving car and let it go and never miss it, you can afford to gamble."
I've never had a dollar I was willing to let go.
So I don't.
