Title: Fly fishing

I am going trout fishing on the au sable river in May.  We will be in a fly only area.  Can I use my spinning rod with a fly in that area?  Or do I have to buy a fly rod? I didnt see anything in the 2011 rules, other than It has to be artificial. But I'm sure all the rules have to be in there. I figured I would post on here to see if anyone knows first hand.

Many, Many years ago it used to be that an un-barbed single hook had to be used. Any type rod was fine. Don't know if that's the case today.
