Title: Michigan Fishing License
Post by: Durand Dan on April 01, 2011, 04:53:43 AM
I just realized that my fishing license expired at midnight. This is the first time I can remember being without a license. I'll have to go get an Ohio one today!!

According to my receipt from the Ministry of Natural Resources my seasonal conservation license cost me $48.16 mailed to my house here in Michigan.

But that is the Conservation License and is not what a tx fisherman would want.  I just catch and release so it's no big deal to me.

Also, you have to have a Canadian Outdoors card (good for 3 years) and the cost of that is about $10.

Lakeside Tackle does it here in Mich.  info at:

Info on outdoor card at:

"Non-Canadian resident fishing licences are also available through the mail by calling the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources at 1-800-667-1940."

I bought mine a few weeks ago and it was in my mail box in six days.  They will tell you on the phone it takes about 4 weeks.  I'm sure it does at certain times of the year.
