So I'm 16 and have been fishing tourneys for three years now and done fairly well.. I see alot of people using swimbaits but never really had intrest in them.. I would like to know when to use them, are they affective baits the just on the baits any help would be appreciated..

I think they're better in the spring and early fall, but I'm still working on them. They really catch peacock bass if you use a big one! They are probably pretty versatile depending on how you define them when used in water with some clarity and when bass are feeding up and/or on suspended prey.

Jches, if you can make it out to the Wonderland show I would love to show you how to apply them here in Michigan... Look for the Optimum Baits banner (yellow)  Thanks Duane

I did well last spring on a strike king sexy swimmer...would work after I beat up a school of fish with a jerkbait or a trap. I didn't do much with it but swim it in really slowly and I'd usually catch a few more fish. I've caught some on the hollow bodies to but my best luck was on the sexy swimmer. I need to play around with that more this spring!

I fish them sometimes.  I have caught fish on them, mainly blue gill pattern hard baits in the summer.  I have never had great success on them anywhere.  I am still trying to figure out when they will eat it and when they won't and how to make them eat it.
