I can hear him saying it .... "this is the winning bait...I can feel it!"  It was like he was calling his shot. 

Congratulations to Dan Kimmel on his crushing win during the Showdown Series battle at Lake Ultimate at the Grand Rapids show.  Dan walked away with a 1st place victory over a tough field.  He felt it early and really executed well.

Congratulations Dan Kimmel - you are my hero!

And you're a funny, funny guy. I did believe I had it after Marianne gave me the secret bait. It just looked like a trout bait!

Actually, it was a pretty successful weigh in. But mine was the biggest. 1.92 pounds or something like that. A squishy (squiddy?) trout. My first trout 'title.'
