Title: Professional Indoor Soccer Playoffs
Post by: Skulley on March 04, 2011, 01:04:06 PM
Tonight at 9:30pm Michigan's only professional indoor team Detroit Waza Flo plays the Illinois Piasa in a very important play-in game at total Soccer Novi located on Grand River and Meadowbrook in Novi, Michigan.  Most of you who know me know that my son plays for WazaFC.  Detroit Waza Flo is his club's professional team.  The men that train my son are the professionals that will be playing.  The club is lead by three brothers Dominic, Mario, and Valentino Scicluna.  The team is made up of players from all over the world.  Detroit Waza Flo is a member of the PASL or Professional Arena Soccer League.  I have gone to 4 or 5 home games this year and have really enjoyed the fast paced action.  It is a very exciting fast moving game.  So if your looking for something to do tonight come on out to Total Soccer Novi for some good soccer played by the pros.  I really enjoy it and I know you will too.  Usually admission has been $10 for adults and $5 for children.  Novi is a different venue from the usual home games.  All home games throughout the season have been at the Taylor Sportsplex. Hope to see you there.  Check out this goal by Dominic Scicluna a couple of weeks ago.      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdfJnxk0CSA (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdfJnxk0CSA)

Detroit Waza advanced to the PASL playoffs by beating Illinois Piasa by a score of 8 to 2.  They now advance to the playoffs starting March 12, 2011.  Detroit Waza Flo thanks you for your support.

As far as I've seen, soccer seems to be growing in popularity in the US. I went to a local game my Godchild Haylee played in this past summer. Had fun. Got a slight sunburn (pretty normal for me).

Alec is going to be playing a game in the outdoor spring season coming up in Lansing.  I'll let you know when and maybe you can bring Haylee and yourself out to watch.  It is pretty exciting.  I love watching the kids play.  It's amazing how good they are at 10 years old.  The guys in the video are the ones that coach my son.

What's amazing to me is these kids nowadays have personal schedules like they are all celebrities or something. I want to go fishing Uncle Dan, but I can M, W or F because I have practice. And Tu, Sa I have games. Th I go to workouts. I could go Sunday but I have to try out for some TV show something or other. Maybe we can go fishing next month? Of course then (fill in another sport) starts...
