anybody tell me how well a powerpole holds on a lake with a muddy bottom?
I have thrown a heavy anchor on this water and the wind can still move my boat! I guess if the pole can really push down past the really soft mud it would work.
any experience on this topic would help. thanks
I have one and have used it in really windy conditions and have not had an issue on any bottom. You are limited by the depth of the Power Pole of course. An 8' power pole is really good to about 71/2 ft on the graph.
You just have to sink it in far enough to get hold as long as it isn't deeper than what Puma reported including how far you might have to sink it in soft bottom to have enough hold.
Just like an anchor on soft bottom where you have let out more rope so you have a lower angle to hold, or when it is windier or heavier current.
