I'm starting to get my list together of "stuff" I need to get before the season starts. I love looking at baits and rods and reels, but when it comes to buying terminal tackle, well, it's not my favorite "stuff" to buy. I just can't get over the fact that for the price of hooks, line, sinkers, et al, I could buy a nice rod, reel or box of cranks. What's your least favorite thing to buy?
Crankbaits. to many hooks in them things. besides I have 2 already.
Line
Does gas for the boat count? I love to use, but hate to buy it...lol
All of it. Something else has to work better, and man does it burn your money!!
1jav
Gas and oil.
Tugsten weights. Hate buying them, love using them. Them little things are expensive. :-\'
Line
Bobbers!!!
Line is by far the worst.
I would have to agree with line. I hate buying gas too, but at least sometimes, theres some sceenery at the pumps. Line is just boring.
Toss up between line and terminal tackle.
I agree with line. The only time I think about it is when it is not working the way it should, so I am always mad at it. And it is darned expensive!
tungsten and line.... although i usually just keep my eyes open and buy XPS floro like crazy in the spring when its on sale for 11$ a spool. Have been able to not buy tungsten for a couple seasons, this year i need to re-stock and that sucks.
As far as flouro line goes I got sick of spending $18-20 for 200yrd spools and wasting 30-40yrds of excess on each spool. This year I decided to go with the 1000yrd spools to cut down on the costs. I shopped around on ebay and found 1000yrd spools of invizx for $54-60. If you break that down 5 200yrd spools will run you $90-100 plus 150yrds or so wasted so that is with out a doubt the way to go. If you do take that route make sure to ask the seller how old the line is. From my experience the older line that sits on the shelf is the line that will fail.
I'm thinking it's teardrops and waxworms because then I know I'm on the hardwater and the fun is over.
Beer and wings
Some days I just cant even buy a 5th fish.
Serious - for hooks, DS weights and Tube hooks - find Mark Hill (Basscat) on this site. His stuff has Gama hooks and is half the cost. One of the better fellas on the lake too !
Line for sure... especially Florocarbon. Tungsten is right up there too... but since I started painting my own wieghts I don't care what color they are anymore. I just buy em as cheap as possible when I find em and make them the color I want.
Started pouring my own dropshot weights last year. Definitely saving money doing that. I should sit down yet this winter and just pour a ton of them and make you all deals shouldn't I??
Least favorite to buy??? Anything that's a replacement for something that does't work, broke, or lost.
Other than that, I love looking and shopping around for it all!!!
In my truck I saw another one. Launch stickers. State Park, Metro Park, Metro Park for your Boat. DNR Launch. At least with the DNR Passport we will save some money. Just the price for having fun.
nightcrawlers!! and stink bait too >:( oops!! wasn't supposed to see that were you?
and line, always want to try new stuff but sometimes it doesn't work out right. too stiff or to hard to see
That Canadian License...
Rip Off
I agree...Line and 2 stroke oil. Both are expensive and I go through it way too fast.
NOTHING, anything to do with fishing, I love to buy (as long as I have the money)
I agree with that. As much as I dislike buying line or oil, it's way cooler than buying laundry soap.
Frank
I can't think of anything I don't like to buy when it comes to fishing.
BD ;D

Not to blow my own WM horn, but we sell our WM brand oil for all Merc and YAMAHA (you able to read that Brian?) 2 stroke motors that meets or exceeds all the manufactures recomendations. So yes, I can put oil in your Optimax, VMax, or EFI motor at quite a bit less than the manufacturers brand oil.
Just trying to save you guys a few bucks here and there. The cost savings on our Yamaha VMax compatable oil will get you nearly 2 bags of senkos!!
I'm just saying.....
Oil is overated! ;D
I have been using your oil for years. In my opinion it is the best oil on the market.
