You go right ahead and go there opening day. Everyone else will wait til Sunday.
I will be on Hardy opening day.
Close to home
Some people hate the lake. But Orchard Lake has always been good to me
Lake Pickwick, Florence, AL April 6th will be my opening day.
If you mean C/R opener. I'll be on White lake. the one 1/2 mile north of M-59 on duck lake road in highland. Probably have lunch at the Inn then back to fishing. Worked out well last year.
only 3 months to go. >:( :'(
The real opener will be Lobdell on Sat and probably Kent on Sun.

Oh crap... this is why I write things down. But of course that calender is at work. I will actually be on Croton opening day now that I put just a little thought into it.
Saginaw Bay Top Bass out of Bay Port
C/R opener ill be on Grand Traverse Bay weather permitting and for the real opener most likely Weber Dam for a club event.
I was half planning on the C/R opener on White Lake (Oakland Co.) again this year. We had a ball last year. Didn't catch fish, but we ate good. LOL

i'm going to try to make to white lake this year
Joining you guys on White for the C/R opener sounds like it could be fun!!!
Not sure yet, but I will probably be on Muskegon for the real opener. I have never fished there before and we're fishing in the TBF/ROI on sunday.
Planning on Muskegon too, If I can find a partner.
I have been buying gear just for that day. ::)
<------Croton.
I think I will be on Croton for the opener, probably catching spawning small mouth. Fun as he...you know what!
C&R opener is normally Hardy if it isn't too windy. Muskegon river impoundments are best in the spring.
i'm going to do a lot of rock bass fishing right after ice out.
I will be at LSC for the catch and release opener. I will be at LSC for the regular season opening which will still be catch and release on LSC and I will be on LSC for the LSC, St. Clair River, and Detroit River opener. I will be on LSC for the Ontario Bass Opener. Why go anywhere else!!!
BD ;D
Because it's a big world??

I love fishing for Rock Bass before the C/R starts. I heard from a guy I know that BWF has some big ones......if you want we could head out there together, and then maybe go for some ice cream ;)
how about wabasis? the only time of year its worth rock bass fishing there.... AND there's a diary queen in greenville!

Whoa, you had me nervous! Thought I'd have to tackle Croton alone!
I am just going to follow Dartag around and figure out how to fish those shallow water spots he is always talking about. So I guess that means we will be on White (C/R Opener), Lobdell and Kent for the first real opening weekend.

They had to tow Kev around last year so I can tow ya around if you want. I will follow you at Lobdell. Seem I remember you did ok there last year. ;D
Regular opener ill be on pontiac lake. Id like to know more about this cr opener on white though. I'm definatly in on that either way as a boater if its a draw tourney
Catch & Release Opener starts whenever the ice is off the lakes so I'll be all over starting sometime in March (fishing for catfish & sheepshead of course).
Saturday May 28th I'll be somewhere on the Lakeshore of Michigan prefishing for Sunday May 29th on Muskegon because someone will be taking home around $5000 that day. Last year we had 60+ on the same day out of Muskegon so we look to majorly improve that number by drawing a much larger demographic of anglers.
Opener I will be fishing Top Bass on Sag then driving straight from there to fish the TBF/ROI on Sunday. Then back to Sag to fish Memorial Day. What a great weekend. Think if I win all three events I can quit for the year. LOL

last year some of us got together and fished white. we went in to the Inn around noon for lunch and shoot the breeze. Then back out fishing. I think we quit around 4. probably do the same thing this year. caught a lot of nice fish. got my boat stuck in a shallow bay so me and Cheetam had to get out and push. He was not to happy with me. my bad.
gorilla in the mist somewhere on the lakeshore opener and ROI/TBF muskegon tournament on sunday
hey jcox, who's fishing sag on monday????
oh yeah, i was there. i pulled up to the launch and picked up some jigs from mccarter. it was on the day of my daughters birthday party or something so i didnt get to fish. im in this year though. I wasnt on that lake at all last year, and my sister lives on it. see ya then.
Frank
I would fish White lake with everyone. Love fishing and then hitting the white lake inn. Our club usually has a tournament there every year but for some reason it didn't make the schedule this year, so this would be a good excuse to get on the lake.
When is the opening date this year for catch and release?
Catch-and-Immediate-Release seasons:
On the following waters, bass may be
caught and released on the dates listed.
All bass caught must be immediately (see
common terms p. 5) returned to the water:
L. St. Clair, St. Clair R. and Detroit R.,
from the last Sat. in April - Fri. before the
3rd. Sat. in June; All Lower Pen. waters
including Great Lakes: Last Sat. in April -
Fri. before Memorial Day; All Upper Pen.
waters including Great Lakes: May 15 -
Fri. before Memorial Day.
Be there or be square. I will be on St Clair" ::)
Looks like I'll be fishing for Rockbass the Thursday and Friday before catch and release on Hamlin Lake. Same goes with the regular season opener. :)
