Title: Koontz Lake
Post by: Duke on May 30, 2006, 09:50:53 PM
I bet you guys are getting sick and tired of hearing from this Indiana guy. But hey, I'm a teacher and just got out of school, so for this and next week, get used to it!  ;D

Here you go:

I was surprised by the the muddiness of the lake today. We haven't gotten that much rain to muddy up the water. Anyway, it was HOT!!! I fished between 9:00-2:00 and struggled for the most part. Did I mention it was HOT!!! The fish are most definetly in the post-spawn mood. I caught a few on wacky and crankbait, mostly small ones (1 keeper). I finally put on a Zoom Horny Toad and began fishing slop and had 8 blow ups. Have I mentioned yet that it was HOT!! Some of the fish that blew up were 2-3#. I can't say for sure b/c I didn't land any of them! Yes, I suck. I'm not real good with this bait yet, obviously. Nevertheless, I believe I figured out a pattern. Which is good as I got a tourney there this upcoming Sunday. I'll be out there again on Friday. Last but not least, it was HOT today!!
