Title: My rant on trailer mfrs.
Post by: detroit1 on January 02, 2011, 09:37:33 AM
I need to replace my trailer for my 16' aluminum deep v. My problem is that it seems like every mfr. i find builds them with those piece o crap bias-ply tires. And they all have fenders that will not allow a swap for radial tires. And they build them with weight capacities that are on the minimalist side. I guess i'm looking for an "overbuilt" trailer. Any custom trailer builders out there? thanks....

There is a place called VanKam here in Muskegon.  They build a lot of custom trailers, all aluminum.  They built my dad's snowmobile trailer, and they are awesome.  Probably the nicest snow trailer I have ever seen.  They might be able to do up a nice boat trailer for you.  Not real hard to make one of those.  Give them a call, 231-744-2658.
