Title: Small Cabelas purchase
Post by: Redbone on December 25, 2010, 05:55:59 PM
I have a $25 dollar gift card that is burning a hole in my pocket.  I am searching the site looking for something that I could use. Most anything that I want is over $25. ::) But I am to cheap to add any money to my order. Whats the good deal? Any ideas?

That is a great idea.  It also made me actually look of the plano number that I use for my soft plastics.  #3731 plano with no dividers for my softplastics.  3700 for my cranks.

Did you check out everything in the Bargain Cave? I find some good stuff there sometimes. Sometimes great bargains!

There's also the 60% off Winter Clearance Sale going on.

Just FYI
The large bag holds (5) 3600 boxes
The XL holds (9) 3700 and the mag holds (12) 3700 boxes

There great bags if you buy them without the boxes (and it sounds like you have boxes)
And being waterproof is a huge plus

I myself mix and match boxes and carry rain gear or a lunch in there some days

Bringing up good one. A bag to keep rain gear in is a good idea.  I received a Gill rainsuit this year for Xmas and having a nice bag to keep it in would be a bonus.

How does everyone store there suit? If they even keep it in the boat. I know my Step dad keeps his rolled up in a ball in the corner of his boat. Fish crusties and all. ;D

My rain gear is keep in the side locker along with a extra hoody
There are days were I wear it just to block the wind

If I'm fishing in a friends boat it's in the bag

I keep mine in a bag that my feather pillow came in.  It protects the suit, but also lets moisture out.  I store this in the boat all the time I'm on my boat.  Take it with me if I'm on somebody else's boat, and it looks nasty.

It's been my experience that there's no such thing as a small Cabela's purchase. :D Seems like every time I go there I spend a couple hundred bucks. Good thing I don't go there alot.

Shipping on such small purchases is a crock.  I feel like I'm getting scammed 7-8 bucks on a $15 order.  In the future, I will only purchase larger items from cabelas.
