Has anyone handled the new Abu Veritas rods yet? I have yet to see a tackle store here in West Michigan carry them or anyone using one. Just wondering how there are doing. Comparable to the Vendeta?
Have heard good things, light, strong and affordable!
They look cool too.
They're pretty awesome. BPS has a whole row of them... spinning and casting. Cant get a better rod for the price.
Abu Garcia has also added the "Verdict" rod to their line up. It is their very best and retails for about $130. It is on their website and should be in stores soon. Tackle Tour has some good stuff to say about them on their product reviews.

I have been using the Vendettas and found them to be an excellent value. The Veritas is a similar blank to the Vendettas, except for color. The main difference is the upgrade in guides. The Verdicts have a similar actions but the blanks are even lighter and stronger and also use titanium guides.
Hey thanks for the replies. I've been looking at them since they came out. I've been pretty loyal to my Falcons and I liked the weight and look of the Vendettas but they seem kinda stiff to me. I'm just wondering if the Veritas blank is just a white Vendetta as far as stiffness goes. I'm just looking to add a few rods to the group for next year and this would fit with my carrot stix and Reese rods I purchased this fall. Next year I shall have a very colorful front deck!
i have the 7'mh and 7'6mh casting and the 7'mh spinning rod. i like them they are light tough and not $250.
