i have a 01 Ranger R93VS. as i was running what seemed like every 30 secs i would here a beep and as time went on it would get progressively worse. now it is a constant beeping when i turn the key to run and the boat seemed to run fine. any help would be great
Is it coming from one of the engine sensors? Overheat? Low oil? Water pressure? Any one of a dozen error codes on the motor?
Scott
i thought i deleted the post i found the problem thanks
What was it? Water pressure or overheat?

Yeah, what was the problem?
low oil, it wasnt a steady drawn out beep, it was constant beeping
Misunderstood. Gotta have that oil in there. The tank and in the small reservoir inside the motor cowling too.
i looked the day before i went out and i thought i had half a tank still apparently the shadows played with me but it seems it starts to beep when its pulling the oil out of the reserve in the engine
Yes. A few times I've seen on others' motors that the reserve tank under the hood gets drawn down somehow when there is still plenty of oil in the main tank. You have to get the level of the reserve tank up to stop the beeping.
I have a hard time sometimes telling how much oil I have in my main tank so I take the cap off and look that way. Glad it was simple anyway.
