Hi Guys'
My two year old was in my boat and dropped my motor toter. It chipped the fiberglass at the corner were the passengers foot rest is near the deck. It is very small, about the size of your pinkies fingernail. I thought about using some 5 minute clear epoxy to fill it but not sure if it will hold up. Any other ideas on how to repair????
Thanks, Len B. ??? ??? ???
you can buy a fiberglass repair kit. they are inexpensive and easy to use. i think i bought mine from wal-mart. epoxy will also work.
metal flake or solid color? if it is solid color, Marine Tex works well. If it is metal flake, call your boat mfgr and they will sell you some that is the correct match.
Thanks for the tips guys. I called Ranger and they sent me 1/2 pint of flake and 1/2 pint gel coat with instructions for a do-it-yourself professional repair. ;D
