I've never fished there, but will probably go there this week. Can anybody pm me some tips for the lake like: Where are the rock piles, smallie tactics or areas to check out etc. I appreciate it!
Only been once and it was loaded with recreational traffic. Didn't catch anything worth talking about.

That's what i've heard, so the chances are good that someone will be riding off with a jerkbait in their back, huh? LOL!
Check out the deeper SE area of the east basin I think. Never been there, but that is where I seem to hear about rock piles. I did see some great Humminbird Side Imaging shots of a few rock piles out there that I'd like to fish if I ever get there. I think there was a sunken boat and a tree too. So there's stuff down there. Nope, I didn't get to keep the waypoints. Darnit!
Try some of the sunken islands in the east basin... they usually hold some fish. The east basin also has a pretty good drop off near shore on the east and south sides... not a bad place to go either. As for the smallies... they can be very hard to find this time of year.
Your best bet is to fish during the week in the morning. If it's a sunny weekend the lake gets crazy (for lack of a better word). If it's a crummy weekend it's just busy.

O.K. I'll give that a try, thank you so much for the info!
Fished it Thursday and had a great time, caught many fish that were just short and caught a few between 3-3.5 lbs. Overall, it was interesting fishing a new lake and it took a few hours until we were on to a pattern for bigger fish. Nice lake!
