Title: Lake County - Rivers for Smallies?
Post by: sfuller345 on July 12, 2010, 09:42:37 AM
Good morning everyone. I am looking for some good spots in northern Lake county or somewhere close to that to wade into some rivers and fish for smallies. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

There is a small flyshop near Dublin just south of 55.  They tie a lot of smallmouth flies. It is the new rave up there for flyfishermen. I stop in most every time I pass through, and buy some flies. When I do they are more than happy to direct me to some good community holes. Not to many locals are going to put you on their honey holes. I have always had good luck were ever they sent me! Be careful, some of the streams and rivers may be fly only. GOOD LUCK.
