Title: What are the fish doing at Charlevoix?
Post by: Ranger_Boats_Team_North on June 09, 2010, 12:52:50 AM
I have a tournament this weekend at Lake Charlevoix. Unfortunately I have not been able to get up there to practice, and I was wondering if anyone knows what the fish are doing.

I fished there last weekend, the males were on some beds but my guess is you will be up their right a tail end of the spawn. I found 3 to 4 pounders on beds or guarding fry.

Good luck.

See if you can find a 30 mile long bare sand drop off and drag some stupid little worm around until 5 big ones come and eat it.  Worked for me.

I spent 14 solid hours out on the south arm monday. Boated good numbers ,but no big pigs.  Saw a few beds but nothing on them.  Most fish came off of big flashy spinnerbaits.  Water temps were 68 ish  .  Rember to bring the rain gear for the weekend as it is supposed to rain alllllll weekend.  kept 2 smaller ones  for a dinner and was shocked when I opened them up. 1 had spawned and 1 had not yet.   Hope this helps ya put a few in and get a check.

Hey TFP,
Are the smallies bedding hard on the bay. Heard they were, but you would be the one that would know for sure. I would love to get up there and do some fun fishing. Was planning to go the end of the month with the coming of the full moon.

Thanks,
Dan

I wasn't using cucumber.  It was the color they only sold to Gander Mtn and quit making several years ago.  And if they ended up in your bag and you don't know how, let you remind you.  You stole them from me.

I only had two.  And only becasue Dave Elmblad gave them to me that morning.  By the end of the day, I had done everything, including maybe even a little CPR, to keep them going.  It was a green goby jr with purple flake.  If anyone has any of them, send them to me and I'll see if they are the same ones I was using that day.  Danny would never really steal......I don't think.
