Hey guys this is just a plug for Linwood Beach marina in Linwood.
Here's the situation. 2 days before opening day and of course I have a tournament on Saturday. The 250 Verado dies. Its memorial day weekend coming and I figure my chances at getting some help are slim.
I figure I'll call the marina that is sponsoring the tournament that I have on Sat. explain the situation and maybe since they are the sponsors of the tournament they will cut me some slack and sneak me in for a quick eval and possibly repair. "Sorry just too busy".
I call Linwood Beach and explain my situation and how I'm up against it. The guy on the phone checks with the owner and they tell me "get it in here and we will evaluate it and if its fixable we will fix it by tomorrow and have you ready for your tournament." So I get it there and the owner talks to me about what is going on and says he knows exactly what the problem is and says it will likely be covereed under warranty or a factory recall and if he can't do the complete repair he will get it working so that I can fish on Saturday.
Here's the best part. I try to give him $100 bucks. He won't take it. I insist, tell him to at least buy lunch for the guys or something. He still won't take it. He tells me this is just the way they do business and plan to be working until 1-2am tonight to push through for some people just like me.
I don't know about you guys but it seems to me NOBODY is doing business like this anymore. These guys just got a customer for life.
Make that two. I respect quality customer service. I have been trained well. Sounds like how I work. I will give them any business I have in the future.
My parents and step-bro have been camping at linwood campground next to the marina. They have had nothing but positive things to say about that place. Nice post, its always nice to hear who helped you out. Word of mouth means alot.
