I need open water. It's the only way I'll stop ordering baits and stuff from [REMOVED - see No Links Policy List (http://www.greatlakesbass.com/forum/index.php?topic=11129.0)], BPS, Mike's RX, etc...
AAGGHH!! :o :o
At least I'll have my boat back in my garage on April 1st. That's when my parent's get home from their annual snow bird Florida stay and I have to have the boat out of their garage!
Hopefully I will have my first tournament under my belt by then, March 27th on Wawasee if the ice cooperates. I cant stand it any more I need to get out.
It would not be nice to say what I feel that you will already get to fish a tournament by March 27!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course... I got to catch giant, meeaaannn peacock bass in January, so now that I think of it, I will quietly slink away... ;D
Yeah... to heck with both of you!
Been fishin on Erie all week :D

You're driving within blocks of my house to go fishing while I'm cleaning the garage and no invite?! :( I feel so sad and lonely....
I brought my first steelhead of the season (about a 10lb buck) to hand last Sunday and am anticipating at least several more this weekend...So you can say that I am starting to find ways to ease the cabin fever.
I'm planning on casting small inline spinners this weekend to see if i can catch some crappies, white bass or any specie with no season down in Belleville this weekend.I need to get out of the house.I'll probably be enjoying the scenery more than fishing for the most part.I won't expect to catch much if anything.
But Hey Least I'm getting out of the house!
I went out with a buddy of mine Tuesday on Muskegon lake. Were looking for a sheephead or dog fish. No luck. But, I was on the water. That new 7.3:1 KVD tour reel rules!
I'm jealous... but happy for each of you who have broke the fever somehow in a good fashion.
The city I work for has three golf courses . I have washed lures twice. No luck, but still feels good to be out.
Is all the ice gone on the golf course ponds?? Going to try to get out there this week and work out the "kinks"!! ;)
BD ;D
Is the ice off Muskegon already? Been thinking about doing me some gar fishing, maybe a dogfish or two here soon. The boat will be back in action in a couple weeks, and want to work the kinks out form not fishing last year.

I'm told Muskegon is open but that the channel to Fishermans Landing boat ramp still had ice in it... that was 4-5 days ago though. I have to go to Muskegon this afternoon... so bet on me checking on the ice situation.

cedar lake in NW indiana is wide open... i'm guessing wawasee, maxi and bass are open or not far behind too. 5 days of 60 degree weather and i'm guessing they'll be good to go by the weekend.
Wawasee was mostly open on Sat. so Im sure it is all the way open by now.
Was in Muskegon this afternoon. Fishermans landing is ice free as is the entire lake. Mona Lake is also open BUT the ramp is under construction (finally!). My guess... several weeks before the ramp is done.
