Who doesnt love a good swap meet ? Time to have fun amongst friends, meet some folks from the EBA, support the TBF, and have a great day.

Anyway - y'all have WAY TOO MANY LUREs and rods so bring em over and maybe swap for something you need. Last year we had Grandt Rods, Luckly Craft, fish finders and minnkotas. This year we'll also have hand poured DS weighs and tube wts w/ Gama hooks, some hand painted lures, video game fishing and a general good time. As you sign up, tell me what you want to bring for a snack so I can take it off the list. See you all 1 PM to 4:30 PM  Saturday the 17th.

Mojo had it at his house last time.

I want to be there...really do.  But it's looking unlikely.  I'm working like a madman trying to get my house ready to move into by the end of March.  I am doing drywall that day (Sat) most likely and am obligated to do a Euchre tourney that night.  If it's on Sunday afternoon, there's a chance I could stop by for a little  bit.

I'm thinking about painting a bunch of crankbaits to bring. I'll sell them for a great price, or possibly even trade some. I also got a ton of other stuff I could bring.

Two things will keep me from being there.  First will be soccer games that my son will be playing.  Second "ice out".  If I can launch a Bolles and get out on Erie, then am going there.

Now is that "free" beer???

Guess I'm just slow. I just noticed that this is the same weekend as the GR show. I wont be able to make either day. I am scheduled to work the whole weekend, but if I can get any time off, I will be in GR helping Dan. Maybe next time.

That weekend is the Wonderland Fishing Extravaganza.

Next weekend is good for Sunday, Sat is the TBF trout pond at BPS unless I'm yet again wrong (shocker if I was ;D).  The 2nd wknd of April is Opening Wknd for the Tabbies at Comerica but may be able to swing a day...  Third wknd, that's walleye-time at the Candy Canes and my freezer is empty!!!  All that said, I'll defer but try.

Sorry I am going to have to miss this one.  First of all no mention of Megan Fox.  Second of all I will be fishing on Good Friday.  Fishing on Good Saturday.  I will be in Grand Rapids on the 17th for my son's soccer tournament.  Although that hasn't been firmed up yet, I will be fishing if they schedule to go to another tournament after instead of the GR Tournament.

I will do you all a favor and not share the foods I have eaten will visiting Asian countries. Most don't taste like chicken though! ;D

I think it's safe to say that they will eat anything, especilly when it comes to seafood.

I'll share the sushi with you wags...I might even make some...and we'll have sushi fest!  Do you do raw?

Oh yes! And I love Wasabi. When I lived in the Keys we would keep it on the boat just in case we got a tuna. Nothing like fresh raw, still twitching, tuna with wasabi and cold beer.

I won't be able to make it.  Have to spend a few weeks in Korea.  You guys have fun with your raw fishies.  I will be enjoying Kimche.   :P

I used to be big into radio control airplanes and flew alot of RC combat. I still have boxes full of engines, servos, receivers, balsa and a few kits. You may need to bring a table. :)

im bringing a case of beer, mixed flavors, and chicken king broasted potatoes.

also binging a reel or 2, fish finders, trolling motor, custom meps aglias, an assortment of soft baits, those stupid lures with the pull string on the front that flap their tail, propellers and more.  The props are 3 blade stainless off of a merc 150 black max and same off of a merc 1150.  im looking for the aluminum props for these if anyone has them.

great day to have it.  it is snowing / sleeting here at union lake.  just had to get go out and fix my pontoon tiedowns from the Gale last night.  water is COLD.   good thing for insulated waders.

hey mike now that you have a 24v TM will you be needing a three bank battery charger too?

i had a great time also and went home with a lot less stuff in the truck and my wallet is still a little fatter.

Actually Bob, I was going to ask that same question. Do I need one if I add a battery? If they are run in series, my battery charger wont charge all three, will it? I'm going to run it as a 12v for now I think. Too many projects that want my money.

a single charger will charge both batteries, but it will take twice as long. a charger putting out 10amps will charge one battery at that 10amp rating, the same charger charging two batteries will charge each battery at 5amps ea. the charger i have came out of my basscat and workd fine, i jumped the gun and bought a new one before i replaced the inline fuse on the orginal charger. this charger has three sets of leads two for the trolling batteries and one lead for the starter battery. each bank on the charger is rated at 8amps each. that's 8amps for each battery.

who was looking for the cranking reel yesterday? b/c i found mine in the boat for ya.

I wanted to close shop on this most excellent swap meet ! I saw trolling motors sold, a bunch of reels and rods exchanged, a mini presentation by Zipper Worms (Thank you One LAstCast !!!) with free samples, Hand painted lures, fish finders, a whole bunch of us loaded up on DS weights and gama tube hooks ..... gosh I cant tell you how much food and beer was consumed.

Ate cole slaw and broasted potatoes for breakfast to finally finish em off lol !!

I personally put together my accurate casting rods - a barely used st croix 6'0" spinning rod and a barely used 10 bearing reel (pfluegger) for $30 - Ill use this for accurate soft plastics - pontoon boat skipping, or throwing next to 'that perfect structure" casts.

I also took a life time warranty 6'6" Grandt XLH (took off the reel that came with it) and a purchased a 10 bearing 6:3:1 baitcaster - darn near brand new - Ill use this for my top water, smaller cranks and accurate area throwing - price (undisclosed to protect the innocent) lets just say we struck some deals .......

Meaning - there were just a ton a great ppl - over 20 - and a ton of great gear that exchanged hands. Many beers are gone and several pots of coffee were brewed !! One persons junk or overstock was anothers treasure. What else can you say folks Thanks for coming out !!

It was awesome. Count me in every year. I'm gonna start painting baits now for next year. I stayed up all night on Friday finishing a few baits, but they didn't dry in time. So I had to sell a couple personal ones.

Mojo - I gave you the host discount on those reels and rods!

I picked up a great Kistler Helium LTA rod from Cheetam. Put a Curado reel on it and can't wait to use it this week. I got more dropshot weights that I hopefully will need this year.
