Title: Classic Party anyone?
Post by: McCarter on February 10, 2010, 10:58:25 AM
Would there be any interest in watching the classic at Hooters?  I have had a few people contact me about it, so lets see what we can do.

They are airing coverage Feb 21 at 7 pm.  This will be day 1 coverage.

Whos in?

Careful.  Let's not disrespect our elders.

Wait a minute, ...... on this short list that would be me.

Of course Stackenum hasn't chimed in yet.

Be nice now. Fiker and I might take exception to being refered to as old. Remember you are only as old as you feel. Thats why when walking thru the malls I just happen to bump into___ Well I better not go there on the family board. LOL

If my son doesn't have to play soccer, I'll see you all there.  If he plays that evening then I will stop by after the game and he'll be with me.

A little bit cold for soccer isn't it?

My son's club is playing indoor soccer both boarded and non-boarded.  Boarded is played on a hockey rink with turf.  Non boarded is played in a huge warehouse or dome.  The boarded facility is located at Grand River and Meadowbrook and the non boarded fields are located on Wixom Road where Wixom Rd and Old Wixom Rd split.  The facilities are owned by Total Sports Complex.  The Wixom facility has 4 full size soccer fields indoors as well as two 6 v 6 fields.  The 4 full size fields can be broken down into two 8 v 8 fields or three 6 v 6 fields per each field.  This keeps soccer leagues going all winter long.  They also have a bar/restaurant in that facility also called "The Midfield Grill".  Actually it is pretty neat stuff.

The Novi facility has three indoor boarded soccer fields as well as a bar and restaurant.  All in all I can't believe how soccer has taken off in the last 10 to 15 years.  There are some mighty talented kids out there playing this game.  Lots of fun to watch.

If you have a Facebook page, please look me up.  PM me so I can give you the right name to search.  Also anyone I accept as a friend on FB has access to the videos I post of my son's team playing.  They are usually about 30 second clips of goals that are scored by his team mates and himself.  Also you will have photo album access to my page so you can see all my bragging photos of the fish I catch as well as other interesting stuff.

Well, people die if I can't find their address, so I can handle the 44375 W. 12 Mile Rd part, but the rest is total Greek to me.  I see the coverage isn't coming on til 10 though.  I thought it was gonna be a "watch party".  Maybe just a "party party" huh.  What time you gathering?

Eric,

Hooters is 2.4 miles from my house.  It will be even less once i finish the underground tunnel from my garage to my favorite table.  My dogs miss you!

I believe there is a restaurant here in town that is going to have the coverage of the last day weigh-in live by hooking up their big screen to the internet.  You guys might want to see if there is a place that is doing likewise.
