Went out to Lobdell for a couple hours this morning to run the Stabil through the engine . Managed a couple of keepers, one on a spinner bait and one on a Manns Loudmouth. Wouldn't you know it? I got buzzed by a Jet Ski!! Water temp 46deg.
I expect nowadays to get buzzed while ice fishing!! But good to hear the old childhood lake gave up a couple nice bass to you!!
This is my favorite lake so far. I dont think I have eve3r got skunked on lobdell. Cant say that about too many lakes.
So Fishlady, it looks as if you are on the way to 5 posts ;D
Bonus to members who hit 6 or more!!! Especially talking about the old childhood lake. Many years, parked at a minute before midnight, the Friday of Memorial weekend, black Jitterbug on the end of the line, rod over the shoulder, waiting for the go ahead to make the first bast of a new bass season.
All of my early memories of Lobdell include my Grandfather, long gone now. He was a hook and bobber fisherman. would have a fit when I started casting. Until I would catch a big bass, then he sometimes would borrow a lure. LOL Great times with my grandpa, now I'm passing on the legacy. Nothing makes me happier.
