As I mentioned in a different string, we were given the chance at the Federation Nation National Championship to pick a song that would play as we pulled up to the stage to weigh in. Each angler had a different song, but we had to choose from a list. I got to the list late and a couple I would have taken were already gone so I chose "Man in the box" by Alice in Chains. Some cool songs were on the list, like Casey Asley's "Fisherman". There were also some truly hilarious choices to pick from including MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This" (Man I was SOOOO temped to pick that one for the humor value!)
Given a choice of any song I would have rather used Godsmack's "I Stand Alone" becuase it reminds me of the sport and how we are each a team of one out there for 8 tough hours during a tournament with no moral support or time outs to take advantage of.
My question to each of you is: Given the chance, what would be your weigh in song? Please share with the rest of us and tell us why you'd choose it. I plan to make a playlist from your responses to use on my i-pod next year when I go fishing so choose wisely.
Definitely Wherever I May Roam by Metallica
and Travelin' Man and Beautiful Loser medley from Live Bullett
Maybe Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi
I can't pick one song any more than I can pick one movie. ;D
It would be a hard choice, but, a couple come to mind.
Today; by the smashing pumpkins. It would be more of a victory song for me!
or
Daughter; By Pearl jam, the song relaxes me for some reason!
if it was a crappy weigh in it would be something a lot harder!!! ha
AC>DC hells bells cause where taken no prisoners here ;D
The way most of last year went for me,I would have to choose Nothing by NIN!

"Lust for Life" by Iggy and The Stooges
We could end up learning some scary things about each other here... :o
for me, it would be a toss up between "Ruin" by Lamb of God and the Theme Song from the 80s hit television series "Blossom"
McCarter himself :-\'
I'm partial to "Lunatic Fringe" from Golden Earing... Tony was more than safe not having that at the BFLs this year!
Metallica's "One" is a golden oldie too!
The Cult has too long of a list to choose from... "Phoenix", "Love", "Wild Hearted Son" - ah the flash backs to times gone by.

Speaking of The Cult, they are playing their entire "Love" album tomorrow night at The Fillmore in Detroit.
99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer....... you know the rest
Survivor eye of the tiger
Only if you have a stallone size bag of fish.
Anything from Journey's "ESCAPE" album, "Workin' for the Weekend" from Loverboy, "Crazy Train" from Ozzy or the Brad Paisley song, "Im Gonna Miss Her" ( I think thats the name of it)
Actually I can think of a lot of songs I would use, anything with high energy that really gets your blood pumping as long as its '70's and '80's rock.
Gotta go with Milli Vanilli "blame it on the rain"
Linkin Park "Numb" or Kernkraft 400 "Zombie Nation" (The part that they play at sporting events, you will know the part in the Zombie Nation song).

thats little girl music.
Hard to choose just one....but it would be something by Ted Nugent. Maybe "Stranglehold" or "Hammerdown". Possibly "Dog Eat Dog". I'd have to flip a coin.
Willie
I forgot More Human Than Human by White Zombie... (just don't tell my Mom...) I like Man in the Box too, but I think I like Would? better. Weekend Warrior by Uncle Ted always make me feel ready for the weekend.
Figured McCarter would be a big Blossom fan. Surprised no one is picking anything from the Carpenters or Bee Gees...?? ;D
As far as on the way to the lake, in the morning, I saw a study that showed listening to a specific song was shown to increase test scores for most people - their brains worked better. In general, they study showed many songs had no positive affect or even a negative affect, but classical music tended to have a positive affect. The more complex, the better. For that reason, one song had a very positive affect, far better than any other.
People who listened to this song before a test scored much higher, reporting clearer thoughts, so I often listen to this song and artist on the way to a tournament. He's the mega star of his time! Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Only... I haven't listened to the song in a while so I can't remember for sure... Symphony 40... or Overture to the Marriage of Figaro? Many have tried to prove or disprove this, but I figure we can probably all use a little more culture.
AC/DC Thunder struck....Or Maybe a Metallica or Iron Maiden tune....
oh oh my skirts hiked up no little girl songs there
The Lonely Island - I'm on a boat.
The Kicking Machine by the Melvins.(Sounds great cranked up)

One of mine too!
Pantera- Cowboys from hell, Metallica- Master of puppets, White Zombie- Thunderkiss 65, and, if it is a really bad weigh in, Ted Nugent-Kiss I disagree.
I would have to say a country boy can survive -Hank Jr :P
Dan, did I just see you mention White Zombie and Mozart in the same post? Holy smokes! :o
Man, I had to think about this one. So many cool songs to choose. But, since my musical tastes are little bit out there, I decided I'd choose something a little more mainstream. So, I would have to say the first minute and a half of "Everybody Wants Some" by Van Halen.

Where do you guys come up with this music I've never heard of? (I'm a bit sheltered)
After 3 kids over the last 12 years the only songs that come to mind are by Barney and the Teletubbies. Oh, and the theme song to Aurthur (the best cartoon on the planet). Good thing i'm not a pro i guess!
I don't know... I've heard those Teletubbies rock!!!

Those Teletubbies are freaky. I watched one of the videos with my son, and it freaked me out. I threw the tape away.
I watched for two minutes once... Felt like I lost 20 IQ points just in that short time. Never again.
So What - Anti Nowhere League
Gunman - Funkervoght
Big Brother - Praga Kahn
Headcase - Terrorfakt
Live Wire - Motley Crue
Premeditated - System Syn
I always thought it would be cool to have the mortal combat music playing with all the different sayings while we weigh in fish!
