I am from northern Indiana, and its my first time going to Skag. I am fishing in a club classic,Marco Bass Masters, out of Plymouth. All the guys in the club have been telling me how great that chain is for brown fish. So I am totaly stoked! They have been going up there for years, and know that place pretty well. So if anybody could give me any tips (other than.. stay away from the duck blinds)that would b awesome. We will b up there Tuesday, and fish till Sunday. Sat and Sun being the actual tournament. Thanks!
Not sure if you'll see this before you go or not. I've only fished it a couple times. Your best bet is to go accross from the boat launch and fish the logs and stumps with spinnerbaits. There is a channel there that connects Skeg to Torch lake. Fish that channel/river. Best of luck.
