Title: Paw Paw 7-11-09
Post by: TCook on July 11, 2009, 10:31:04 PM
Put in a long day on Paw Paw for the first time in about 5 or 6 weeks with Skeeterman and for some reason it felt like the fishing was real slowwww! But after we called it quits after 12 hours of battling the hundreds of idiots that plague Paw Paw we added up our catch and the numbers were not that bad. We cought 20 keepers total almost half were 3 pounds or better, best 5 went just over 22 pounds, big bass of the day went 5-11. Dont know why the day seemed so slow, maybe because we were out there for so long and the bass were really spread out all day. Here is a pic of the 5-11 that blasted my topwater bait, it doesnt get much more exciting then that!

Wow Paw Paw has been on fire all year and still continues to produce big bags and big bass both smallies and largies. Our last two times on that lake we had a 22 pound bag and then a 19 and a bass over 5 both times and it hasnt slowed a bit. Check out the last couple reports, 6.50 pound largie takes big bass Sunday and a 5.80 smallie on Monday. It always takes atleast 18 to win out there even on the 3 hour night tournaments, wish I could get on that lake more often.

I forgot to mention that I am looking for a boater to fish the MATS on Paw Paw on August 15th its a $70 entry plus $5 big bass and draws 30-40 boats. My partner 1Javs motor is shot and I dont want to miss this one since its the biggest event on Paw Paw. I dont know exactly what the membership fee is but I heard they jacked the price up to prevent cherry pickers, still think its worth the extra coin though. If anyone is interested and is willing to spend a couple days practicing shoot me a PM.
