Title: Secret Lake
Post by: Durand Dan on June 26, 2009, 07:25:12 PM
Took Mojo out to the "Secret lake" for some Frog Fishing on Thursday. We both hooked up with + 18" bass in the slop and pads. Great day of Bigmouth fishing! He has pledged  not to reveal the location ;D

Good for you guys.

There's nothing like watching a big ole bass blow up through the pads on a  frog.

Rick,

If you want to go out there sometime you can experience it first hand. I''m taking a friend there in the morning.

Seems like you can always get a fish out of the pads! Im willing to trade a couple custom painted crankbaits for a fishing trip, not just with you but this goes for anyone.

Secret Lake... my favorite(s) ;D

So many lakes in Michigan, there's room for many of us to have a secret lake! One lined with pads and slop sounds pretty good!!

 ;D

Ill give y'all a little more detail cause froggin is just starting to ramp up and what a blast we had !! We had a great day, first in the am Dan had the pop R at a mouth opening in about 2 ft a water (didnt know till sun was full up it was only 1 - 2 foot which made it even more amazing). Tried cranks, spinnerbaits, senkos, grubs ... then Dans wigglin creature seemed to be what got the fish aggressive around 9 am. My bronze eye frog ran over all kinds of pads and pulled a few too and pretty soon the fish told us to go froggin!!

We ran a few shore lines and threw the house at em, then went back to the South end of the lake where we had success, and the shade was up ... My fat paddle kickin plastic frogs with a #5 acting like a rudder came off the pads and got hit repeatedly on the fall. Same thing in the reeds.

By noon the 90 temps and the lake +78 F shut off the fishing but man that was fun while we were at it. Thanks for the day Dan and next time Im up at lake   :o :o :o I'll give ya a call.

Mike
