Just curious whare everyone is fishing this weekend. There seems to be a lot of options out there. Normally I would be at the Top Bass opener but I'm taking a bit of a hiatus from tournament fishing this summer.

I know you didn't ask for an itinerary, but I'm just tickled at all the fishing I get to do in a week. ;D
BTW- Nemesis teams rule.
I will not be fishing any tournaments opening weekend. Since the state has let inland lake associations have their way with cash and weed kill, I tend to head to St. Clair and Erie more often. I do fish some inland lake tournaments, however not as much as in the past. On Saturday and Sunday this weekend I will be on St. Clair one day and Erie the other. On Monday Memorial Day, I will probably head back out to St. Clair. This year I will probably fish the NBAA One on One Series and of course some of my club tournaments as well as an occasional week night NBAA. Although those are mostly inland, it only amounts to about a dozen or so and I usually fish over 100 days a year. My club fishes mostly on St. Clair and Erie. I will also be fishing the annual Father/Daughter Tournament that Avid Anglers puts on every year on Father's Day. My daughter and I always enjoy that one.
BD ;D
Finally Tourney Season is here! ;D
I will be @ Kent Sunday, Oakland Basmasters puts on a great show every year, imo.
With only 3 hours of prefishing this year on Kent, I predict a day of "junk" fishing (senko, traps, jerkbaits, swimbaits, jigs, dropshot, etc) My front deck is going to be full o' rods... (John please don't step on them ;))
Looking forward to seeing you all out there this year...
Good luck to all,
Duane
NOTHING!!!! no boat and I live away from most tourney's :( man I need to move and get a boat...have fun and be safe all!
NBAA on Pontiac Lake...The wife asked if I'd take her fishing on Sunday before I head up to Houghton on monday. Maybe I can trick her into fishing the Kent tournament.
I have no tournament plans as of yet but thinking about fishing the BBT open on Muskegon Monday. I am looking for a boater that is willing to make a long run. I plan on checking on some fish tomorrow to know for sure if it will be worth it. So if there are any boaters out there that still have monday open and it sounds like something you might want to do shoot me a PM. Of course this is only a go depending on the weather report and what I find tomorrow.

It's worth a shot!
Nothing this weekend (staying home with the fam - brownie points for the rest of the summer ;)). Heading to Houghton Lake, Tuesday morning to pre-fish. Fishing the NBAA "Red" division championship (as a sub) on Wednesday.
Long run.................Lake Michigan................man you better have something good and hope the weather is perfect. Or maybe you can just find someone who ain't very bright who will make the run with you. 8)

If the winning fish are in Lake Michigan then you go get them. I don't think taking a ride in Lake Michiagn means "you're not very bright". I think it's a great idea.
Last time I launched at the Grand River I had to make a 20+ mile run in Lake Michigan to get to my fish. Did the same thing in Saginaw Bay a couple years ago with waves coming over the tip of my Ranger 520 while it was standing straight up! Scared..? Yep! But you got to get the fish! Took 3rd & big bass that day........only had 2 hours fishing time.
It can be done......
BS ;)
Inside joke.
Gotcha!
I had to respond.......as I'm the type that would make the run.
BS ;)
Me too. I was gonna fish with him. I would never speak poorly of anyone else publicly.

So you are saying that you only talk bad about people behind their back!? ;D
Lake Michigan was a dream to run on yesterday, Muskegon was far worse.
Cy
Cy Lake Michigan was a dream 2 White and about 15 miles past that then it was a rough 1! I ran 60+ miles when u figure in all the points and it was a bumpy ride..

I was looking at the map yesterday and looking at how far you ran on Monday. I was definitely a long ride! That sucks that it got it rough as you went north. I have never paid that much attention but I assume the dunes aren't as tall as you get up there? How long did it take you?
I ran south a little bit but couldn't come up with more than about 9 lbs. So I left the fish in their home lake and came back empty. I knew 9 lbs wouldn't matter for the open.
Good point Cy. That's kinda funny.
Little over an hour or so.. the dunes are pretty bit around Silver Lake area and pretty much all the way up. the lake is just weird with the current and things around the 1 big point..it was well worth the run though. we got 6th and if i wouldve made the call at the right time we prolly wouldve had more if i ran another few miles up the lake to another lake.
Ah sixty miles north? Pere Marquette, Manistee, Portage, and then if you're brave Arcadia.
