Congrats to Nemesis Baits Pro Staffer Phil "Philbilly" Strakowski for becoming the Grand Basster 2009 with an impressive 4-7 smallmouth. The real big bite never happened this year but Phil manage to catch several 4+ lb smallmouth to literally walk away with the hat, the money, and the title of Grand Basster for the next year.
McCarter himself :-\'
Congrats Phil...I mean Mr. Grand Basser Sir! Nice work Dude!
Great job last week Phil you fished you butt off and figured it out in some tough conditions. Even though you put us on fish everyday you found out how to catch the bigger ones. I swear McCarter has the worst luck in the world when it comes to boats and fishing equipment. Maybe he would of gave you some serious competition if his trolling motor and outboard did not brake down and keep him off the water for two and a half days. Hopefully it was nothing serious.
Thanks it was a blast i had fun just hangin out with u guys. Next year better be some better weather. Lets do a largemouth/smallie lake..Hamlin comes to mind thats about the same drive for everyone. we got lots of time to figure it out.2010 Hamlin Hogster?? nice ring too it.. just a thought.
Publicly congrats to you. Next year I may be able to come if Mccarter sees fit to invite strangers.
