Title: Lake orion 5/09
Post by: bassfan586 on May 10, 2009, 03:57:45 AM
Fished lake orion 6:15-11:30.  Lots of rain in the morn.  A couple undersize bass and one 18" largie that fell for a shad colored spinnerbait.  Saw lots of beds and big cruising bass. Also the weed levels are already up from this time last year imo.  Water temp was 63 and farly clear. b I wish I could find those big bass in the summer.   I really get frustrated on that lake.  I can never seem to find them consistently.

That lake can be frustrating.  I usually rotate between three or four spots when I fish there for tournaments.  Lots of guys pitch and flip docks in the summer.  I have had some good weights there when I have fished tourneys there.  Last year when I fished there I rotated between my three or four spots and did not do well.  The year before I ended up with big bass of the tournament which was a NBAA one on one and did the samething, rotate between three spots.  They were all within sight of each other.
