hit lake around 7:15 fished to 2:15. Tried a couple spots most fish came in 4-8 fow around 9 mile area. Morning bite was slow but it came in spurts. Defiantly schooling fish as at a couple of times I went 3 for 3. Slow was real good in the morning. Tried my fast reaction baits but nothing. Slow rolling lippless baits worked but a split shot rig with a 4" senko worked very well. Caught most of the big ones on a erie goby colored tube with a 5/8 oz big dude head. Just let it sit. Fish were bitting light almost like a walleye. Afternoon was much better. Xcalibur xr50 in pearl melon was the best. I tried a lot of other colors but this produced the most. I noticed one boat was getting a lot on jerkbaits worked fast but I couldn't get bit with one. Tried hard and soft. I also stayed away from the pack as most of those fish were small. Caught a lot of 16-18 fish. Total for the day was 45 smallies on largie.
