Title: What a Guy!!
Post by: Durand Dan on April 17, 2009, 03:37:37 PM
While on the way home from Lobdell lake yesrterday with my boat I hit a huge pothole and broke the leaf springs on one side of the trailer.  >:( This created a situation where I could not move the boat trailer without completely disassembling the suspension on the side of the road and driving miles to get a replacement part. On top of that I needed tools and jacks to get anywhere. So I'm starting to take everything apart and I hear a voice behind me saying " Hey we can fix that". I looked and here comes this guy and he crawls under the trailer and takes a look. Without even an introduction he says he will be right back. Well he walks up to his house and grabs a few things and returns to get the trailer in good enough shape to move it to his shop. From there he just happens to have another set of springs and he and his son proceed to replace not anly the broken one but the other side as well. After this he finally indroduces himself as Joe and his son Jim. To top it all off he asks if I want a beer ;D After all that heck ya I want one. Oh, and I tried to pay them for their time and I couldn't get them to take a dime!! Talk about a lucky day!! ;D
