If some one could tell us west side guys when this thing is hot it would be greatly appreciated

Water is still to cold there oldjigger. Last time I checked it was only about 39 degrees. once it hits the mid 40s things should start happening. Guys are getting out but no numbers yet. 1 to 4 fish for 2 to 3hrs work. Hopefully this warm weather sticks around and the sun stays out for more than a cpl days at a time to warm that water up.
Depending on weather, I may know better somewhat soon, but not until next weekend ;D
... spoken like a true bass guy ...
there were some reports yesterday of decent catches at the upper end of the dt river both females and males, Im going saturday the 11th and Im sure by the 18th it will be on.
Since i work at a factory along the river The water temp at our river water intake was 47 degrees as of 4-8. Because of the weather hardly any boats going out of the Wyandotte boat launch.
Observed few boats off of the island off of Ecorse on the east side.
No one on the Canadian by Fighting Island.
I'm going out this afternoon. Will probably be fishing near belle isle and then around the ren cen, I'll let you know if we get anything.
They're starting to make their move right now. My buddy has been catching "some". He lives in Southgate and get's out quite bit.
they caught 24+ lbs Sunday in a tournament. I think the winning sack was 27 lbs with a 12 something kicker!
It will only get better from here on out. As long as the water stays clear.
joshimotoson ;D
Caught two walleyes and a musky yesterday. Talked to guys at the ramp and everyone was saying the same story - not getting limits but they are biting a little. The water is muddy, find some clear water and fish it. At the mouth of the river into St. Clair the boats were fishing a stretch of clear water that was right in the middle of the river. We pulled one from there. Went down to the Belle Isle bridge and fished closer to shore. Picked up a big female there and the musky.
Water temp is in the low 40's - a week or two more and things might really get going, heat it up a little and let the water clear up a bit.
