anyone paint their spinnerbait blades? i would like to know what kind of paint i should use and if its not obvious i would like to know where to get some
dan
the only time I've painted blades was just to paint one side black(produces a "strobe" effect) and I scuffed the blade and used rustoleum, worked for longer than i thought it would. If you just wanna add some color, try prism tape; you can peel it off and change the color or just remove it alot easier than paint.
I've painted blades using my airbrush paints (acrylics) and top coat with Dick Nite's Lure Coat. The paints you can get at any hobby shop or places like Michaels. You can top coat with epoxy as well.
I guess I've never done any sprinner bait blades but I do powder coat blade baits for a different look. Works great.
