I would stop by Bass Pro Shops on the way and see the Free Boat show going on.

Just got back from the show. Man some nice boats (only a few for us bassers) Wonderland had some great boats on show,  along with some very good salesmen. Overall the entire display of boats I thought was kinda small in size. It was a great way to spend some time with my bride. She like the pontoon boats with the screened in cover on the whole length of the boat. I like the house boat vacation trips on Ky. Lake... Oh yea the James Bond display as well.

Some people are still buying boats. Just not quite as many.

I wish some of these people that are buying boats would buy a new tow vehicle....................Like a 2009 Dodge Ram.

It is a smarter move... but a hard one to make when you're sitting at home thinking about all those bass out in the lake... just waiting for you...!!

You still have to have a reliable tow vehicle to get to the lake....................like a 2009 Dodge Ram.  You could still be stuck at home dreaming about catching bass. :'(

That's what I meant... get the tow vehicle first (a 2009 Chevy or GMC pickup would be nice too ;D), then get the bass boat - I've heard Ranger Boats (http://www.rangerboats.com) are really nice! They last a long time if you need them to. I can vouch for that... personally!

A friend of mine told me that a well known outdoor shop in Kalamazoo sold 9 boats at the recent Grand Rapids Boat Show. More that they have in recent years. That stimulus plan is working already.
