I caught this pair of large mouth last spring. When I caught them I did not have a scale. my guess is the weigh about 5 lbs or so. what do you guys think.
i think they both look over 5. nice job. what did you catch them on? were they bed fish? did you eat them? or just bring them in for pics? what time of year was it, they look fat with eggs.
McCarter himself :-\'
Both caught on wooly hog tails. flipping Timber Pre spawn. No I did not eat them they went back to grow bigger.
I would say the one on the right (your left) is over 5lbs. It's hard to say with the one on the left. It doesn't look as fat as the other, but if it wasn't over 5, it was definitely close.
2 maybe 2-1/2lbs. ;D
I thought the same thing until I pulled them out the water. ;D

Just kiddin, nice fish Chris
Those are some nice ones! It is so hard to tell from photos but I would guess both were over 5, the fat one could be pushing 6. Nice fish! I would go to that lake again this spring.
The lake I caught them at is private and don't see a lot of pressure. there are some pigs in this lake a few years ago my buddy caught one that went an easy 9 lbs or better. Casting top water from his dock. I try to fish there as much as I can. I know there is a 10 + swimming around with my name on it. I will get some pics of the fish we have caught there and post them.
