The good news is I'm headed to Tennessee this Saturday on a Brown Bass hunt. More good news is today I got the basement remodel job, which MUST be completed next week.
The bad news is the home owner is a dancer at the local mens club. Can I leave my guys on their own to do this job ? (They can get quite rowdy when there's no one there to give direction.)
Perhaps I've set the bench mark to high for on the job entertainment.
Any advice is appreciated.
I would say reschedule the trip down to TN, fire all your employees, and take your time on this job. You should be able to milk it pretty good now that everyone else is gone and your the only one working.
But that is pretty extreme. So the best advice i can give you is to trust the guys to do a good job and get it done in a timely fashion. I know it will be a little distracting, but we are all adults here, right? Just make sure they get plenty of pictures of the homeowner posing with the finished product. This will do two things. First, it will give you some good marketing materials. Now potential customers can see how happy previous customer were with your work. And 2, well im going to need a copy of those pics for my records.
If you need someone to supervise, I am available. And i work cheap. Throw in a 12 pack and a Lucky Craft Pointer 100 and we can call it even.

That remodel job wouldn't require a test by the homeowner would it? I assume you are installing a stage and pole!!!LOL
I say - just pay your workers in advance with dollar bills and the homeowner won't mind the job taking a little extra time. In the end, your workers will probably have her remodel job paid for!!! So it is a win - win - win. You can even come back from fishing and help fund the remodel job yourself!
From my past experiences in local establishments of the sort I would say you shouldnt have any problems with your crew as most of the local entertainment aint much to look at anyway.
:D
Right on K Dawgy Dawg, right on!

I guess I'll just turn 'em loose and hope for the best. Haven't lost money on a job for years now, guess I'm due.......
