Title: Layoff and Winter
Post by: Durand Dan on January 20, 2009, 01:55:35 PM
It's been 20 years or so since my concrete construction days and my last layoff. Why can't it happen during bass season? I'm not sure if I can bring myself to drill through the ice to catch fish. Of course that might change the hungrier I get ;D

play poker online.  i am in a $25k prize pool right now and it only cost me $5.50 to enter.  started with 5013 players and there are currently 2080 left and of those 2080 i am currently in 123rd place.  We are dead at work so for the last 2 days thats all i have done.  Good thing about my job is i cant get laid off, i just dont get paid for days like this.  heres to hoping i win the top prize of $3208.33 so i can buy more lures and rods and other stuff.  Maybe one day my garage will look like Preston Clarks.  Or at least Benders.

Thats what I do too play alot of online poker and hit the casino once in awhile. Last year I won a couple grand in tournaments and $ tables which paid for alot of my loomis rods and shimano reels.  Im about to make a deposite on Full Tilt to try and duplicate last year. What site are you on McCarter?

I've been playing the 5 dollar sit n go's on Full Tilt.

I think we hijacked this thread and turned it into an online poker thread!

Im on pokerstars.net.  tons of tournaments both big and small.  and a bunch of free satellites into money games.  I ended up getting knocked out of that tournament in 148 place but its still paid $11.60.  So i doubled my money.  Plus, there is $0.60 left over for my wife.  wooooo hooooo.

Bad Beats!!!!

Come to think of it.  We are loooooong over due for a GLB Poker tournament.  Last time was a huge success that ended with me doing keg stands solo after everyone left.  It was one of the best times i ever had i am told.  I dont remember anything after my brother in law tried to get someone at the table to cash his paycheck.

Any interest?

" $5.50 to enter.  started with 5013 players "

you boys should quit making worms and start a poker series.  maybe tuesdays at Kent Lake.

back to the layoff topic.   i have notice lots more ice fishermen on my lake during the week when i get home.  the weekend was packed out there.  i have not really seen a lot caught.  a small pike on tip-up once and a while.  guess they just love being outside.  keeps me entertained on the couch watching.  going to have to walk out there one of these days.  i said that last year also.

the ice must be safe there is a Jeep sitting way out on the ice.  brave sole.

if you have a poker tourny send me an invite.  i will come donate.

back to poker talk.

:D :D :D
