Xtreme Bass Tackle does it again, with a $1040.00 large mouth bass!!! On Saturday 8/9/08 while fishing the The Fox 101.3 Biggest Bass of Hour and Bass Championship on the Grand River. My tournament partner and I were able to put a 3.94 lb large mouth in the boat. That fish was caught on a T-rigged 4" Formula G3 Xtreme tube from under a Sea Doo. We ran the fish back to the scales at 1:15PM with the hopes of an hourly check. They weighed the fish and told us it was the largest of the day so far. We were confident that it would get the hourly prize and we had dreams of having the big bass of tournament. We finished the tournament and took our one other fish the scales We also found out we won the 2PM hourly prize. Guaranteed $500...SWEET! As we were waiting in line for the scales the guys in front of us weigh a 4.02 lb big fish. We were beat that quickly for big fish for the tournament, but we thought we might get part of the pot, they pay the top 3 big fish in this tournament. After all the hourly big bass checks and top finisher checks were pasted out they finally got to the big bass. We took second overall big bass for another $540.00. It was a tough day of fishing for us on the river but it turned out to be a great day. Thank You Wayne Carpenter (Xtreme Bass Tackle), BBT Bass R Us and The Fox 101.3.
