Not an open but Fishers of Men is on Saginaw Bay out of AuGres this saturday. $245 gets your team in for everything including memberships. Will be great fishing and supposed to be great weather. If you have a boat that can make the 9 mile run to charity island 18lbs is no problem this time of year.

BBT has the Memorial Open on Monday on Muskegon.
Kelloggsville Church Sportspersons Club has its first tourney of the year this coming Sat on Croton Pond. Must buy an annual club membership for $25. All tourney entries are $35 per team, including big bass pot. Fish from 6a-12p. Get there early - the launch is difficult/slow and last year there were 40+ boats.
I think I fished in a kellogsville tourney late last year at hardy...we ended up winning it...sounds awsome except I have never fished croton? 40 boats wow...thats impressive.
Must have been a different club or a different year. We only fished Hardy in early June last year.
We 'only' had 36 boats at Croton. My partner and I ended up finishing 3rd with 14.6 lbs. Had a limit by 6:30 or 6:45. Probably caught 3-limits. Fun day!
We are at Hardy this Saturday. Have not been there since last June. Will be interesting to see what the fish are doing right now. Won't be able to pre-fish. Been there lately yourself? If you aren't going to fish this event, can you offer me any info? I'd be happy to retuen the favor any way I can.
The tourney was late..I think it wasnt a kville event but same people put it on....Planning on fishing sat. I have been on hardy 4 times this year the last being 2 weeks ago..the smallies were bedding heavy but I dont think the largemouths have started prob this week for sure...We caught all of our fish on jigs but early...all smallies in the typical smallmouth spots...tried hard to get some largies going but not much luck in the back of the coves...I will be fishing sat. I will be in A blue Ranger 150 yami. how many boats ya thinken? What time do they take off?
Thanks chris
I'd be surprised if we didn't have at least 40 boats. Takeoff at 6, weigh in at noon. Will be interesting to see what impact this wierd weather will have on the bite.
Now I know which fall tourney you mean. Yes, Rich put that together kind of last-minute. I was there too. We placed an ounce out of the last paycheck due to a dead fish. We actually kept the dead one on purpose because even with the penalty is was still a few ounces more than any other small keepers we caught later. First time that ever happened to me!
This may sound odd, but I don't know what color boat I will be in! I will be fishing with someone new - we actually met on this forum - and have only talked by phone. I guess its a 21' Champion but that's all I can tell ya for now. Hopefully we can cross paths...You can ask Rich when you register, he'll point you my direction.
