Is there any open inland lakes open yet in southeastern lower Michigan?
Lobdell launch is open and you can go to Bennet , but the main parts of the lakes are still covered with ice . I put in yesterday to put time on my new boat but didn't see any fish in the shallow stuff . But there was a guy water sking though.
Water Sking ??? When I was out there Sunday the was 37.5 deg.
Yes water-sking , in 41 deg. water . He had a dry suit on and a hot water outlet coming from his motor to warm up . We aren't the only ones with spring fever.
cr,
Did you get a chance to look at the lake today? Any more open space?
DD
I was out there about seven , the north arm that Whites landing is on is totally ice free , but the main lake is still half covered . Mark was out there and said he saw a couple on Bennetts back-waters . I have to take the wife and daughter to metro tomorrow morning , their going on Durands Seniors spring break cruise , but I hope to get out to the lake in the afternoon .
