Title: Question for poorboy???
Post by: stackenem on February 16, 2006, 08:10:56 PM
I noticed that ABA have several tournements that go out of the same launch the same time the same day. How are they working that. Can you fish in both or are you limited to one?

There is a new district this year so we are sharing a tournament on Kent Lake with them so Anthony ( the director of D7 and D69 ) can help the director of the new district out and show him the ropes.

Plus, we always join our 2 districts ( D7 and D69 ) together for at least one tournament to get everyone together and hopefully get a bigger turn out.

It counts for both districts as it is one tournament.  But in the ABA, your year end total only consists of your points earned in 4 (1) day tournament and 1 (2) day tournament, regardless of which districts you fished.  That way you can jump around from district to district and fish as many as you want.

Yeah, there is a new southern MI district.  they are fishing Kent, Belleville, Wamplers, Devils, and a couple others i think.

I think they are D47 or 43, but i cant remember.

I am liking the belleville.  I have been trying to get Andy ( anthony ) to put it on our D7 schedule for the past few years with no luck.

I have only fished it a few times.  Havent done extremely well there, but i did miss a monster female guarding a bed while pre fishing for the open out there in 04.

But i know how popular the lake is and figured we could draw a lot of new members if we added it to the line up.

My buddy got a 7.5 lb largie there last year in late april on a crankbait.  and he has told me many a story about similiar sized fished caught out there.

Belleville is feast or famine for me...feast while pre-fishing or fun fishing, famine when fishing for money...

Every tuesday night right after the saturday opener. They take off at 5pm and come back at 9 most of the season. They launch out of sandys marina last time I heard. They usually pull around 30 to 40 boats.
