Spring has been spotted in Fenton and in Durand Mi.  The redwing blackbirds are back. Not long now.

And i saw a yellow bellied sickle tail sap sucker slurping succulant sap from a spruce this morning in my front yard.  I dont know whether or not he seen his shadow, but its a good sign just to see a sap sucker in march.

I too have a possum walking by the window as I type this.

Today there was the smell of Spring in the air.  Still hiding a little, but detectable to say the least.

Gee, are we all just a little bit anxious or what?

The giant snowman the kids built in the back yard has melted down to 8'! I think it'll still be there in May.

Just the other day I noticed two Blue Herons standing on their nests out at Kensington, don't know if they jumped the gun or not.

We have seen several robins already,  but since we saw them we got another snow storm,  but I know once they come back it can't be to much longer.
