Spring has been spotted in Fenton and in Durand Mi. The redwing blackbirds are back. Not long now.
And i saw a yellow bellied sickle tail sap sucker slurping succulant sap from a spruce this morning in my front yard. I dont know whether or not he seen his shadow, but its a good sign just to see a sap sucker in march.
;D
McCarter himself :-\'
The boat's been stored in the Swine Barn at the Shiawassee Fairgrounds all winter (the ultimate pig for jiggin). It's coming home Friday!! ;D
Dan, What size jig for that big pig.

Ive seen a possum out in my apple orchard digging the last two days in a row I think he woke up from hibernation and decided hes ready for spring as well, I know Im ready!
I'm ready. What's Erie look like from the satellite?? Erie Satellite March 11, 2008 22:02 hours GMT (http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/modis.cgi/modis?region=e&page=1&template=sub&image=a1.08071.1844.LakeErie.143.250m.jpg) Still a bit of ice.......Too many clouds over St. Clair when you scroll up.
BD ;D
I too have a possum walking by the window as I type this.
Today there was the smell of Spring in the air. Still hiding a little, but detectable to say the least.
Gee, are we all just a little bit anxious or what?
The giant snowman the kids built in the back yard has melted down to 8'! I think it'll still be there in May.
Just the other day I noticed two Blue Herons standing on their nests out at Kensington, don't know if they jumped the gun or not.
We have seen several robins already, but since we saw them we got another snow storm, but I know once they come back it can't be to much longer.
I'm setting at the boat ramp waiting for the ice to thaw :D, well maybe in a couple of weeks ;D
REELMAN
I've seen Robins in the middle of winter.
Can't count on them.
Now Sand Hill Cranes..........
