The 2008 Spring DK Open will be on Lake St. Clair out of Harley Ensign Ramp. All we need to do is pick a date. Here are the two dates I can hold the event. Not ideal for everyone, I realize, but as usual, our short season forces many compromises.

I would like to piggy back with ABA, but I realize this causes a conflict for some with the NBAA regionals, so I offer a 2nd choice to see if there is a majority opinion for this choice.

I knew May was more complicated than I was remembering - sorry EBA - I think I may be fishing with them on Saturday May 10. I'll have to see what their final plans our. I would still like to see what the poll results are so I can make a decision that attempts to meet everyones' needs.

I am sure you cannot satisfy everyone.  Just a note that the NBAA Championship is May 13-17 on the Ohio River.  The EBc will be getting together this weekend, so I 'll relay the conflict and see what we can do to reschedule.

Yeah, that knocks me out. I'll be leaving for KY (NBAA Championship) on the 10th (or 11th), and I won't be returning until the 18th.  :'(

how about may 3rd on Kent.  even the little boat guys will like that one.  i think ABA is there on sunday.

It needs to be on a Sunday. 

Im out may 10th through the 18th for NBAA nationals and the 24th for saginaw bay, Id like to see it on st clair again lots of options there for weather and small boats plus I think the fishing will be no less than twice as good as an inland lake.

I am not going to vote for a date I don't want to Skew the results if I can't make it....I will try to be there though..

Are there many anglers who would fish May 3rd (has to be a Saturday - too many of the regular participants can only do Saturday)?

I like may 3rd and I prefer a saturday.

I like may 3rd becouse it wont be as much of a site fishing tournament as it would be a pre spawn on st clair.

If its on an inland lake then it will be all sight fishing becouse the water warms faster on the inland lakes and guys will be going over the same fish and as I found out last year on kent lk theres always somebody upset about that in a paper tournament.

sundays I like to rest up for another long work week...I hate fishing tournaments on sundays!!!!

I could probably do May 3rd. Saturdays also work well for me. I don't mind fishing on Sundays if it's local (less than an hour away), but for anything further than that, I'd much rather fish on Saturday (especially on BIG water).

The 3rd is good with me.  I can do any of the dates.  Perhaps we should put the 3rd in the poll and reset it??

3rd would probably work better for me also...Walleyes will be running hard that week....Do they count??? ;D  I would hate to have to put a walleye in the "junk" fish category..

I'm sure this drives some of you crazy, but I added May 3rd - I keep getting an itch about it, but I find nothing on my calendar definite (cross my fingers).

I made an allowance that you can change your original vote. We have time to do this as best we can. Thanks for your patience and participation.

I voted for the 10th, because slamming several tourneys together in opening weekend would probably pu me further in debt than I can afford.  But, if you are changing to the 3rd, I can do the 3rd instead of the 10th.  Just change my vote.

If I can pull a vacation day for the 3rd I will b there. just need more info on time and place.

As of right now, the 3rd is my only day off out of the three days listed.  Could still get booked for that day though.  If not, I'll be there.  Maybe I'll finally get to fish one of these.

Wow, it looks like the 3rd is better for a lot of folks.  Me too.  That way we won't have to change our club date.  Cameraguy, you'll love it.  They're a lot of fun and you'll finally get to put a face to the name with guys.  Every one of these has been a blast.  Hope you can make it.

I can make that and the fishing on st clair will be great, this will be my first tournament of the year I cant wait.

The 3rd sounds good To me. Hey Skip I would love to ride with you again this year and win another Set of GLB Bragging rights. But I'll have the new boat by then You mind if I follow you Too LOL . Look forward To fishing with you in the spring .

Ok guys I finally did it,  I got my hubby registered on here.  You might recognize his name...spinninbugs hubby!!!!  LOL..   Well now I can hope that he will get on here and post something,  he doesn't do well with puters though.  But anyway now we can both come to the open.  I know once he gets on here he will love it!  Seeing as he asks me everyday what's going on on here.

So Dan you can count us both in for the open this year.

He made me do it to,  when I told him my first tourney was going to be for the DK Open he told me we needed to get him registered so he could come too,  just can't stand the thought of me going with out him!  Imagine that.

LOL  that's good stuff.  I thought I was logged in and I was logged in as hubby!  So I guess he got his first post in!

If May 3rd is the day, then I am there.  I have had to miss the last ones because I have had to work.  I am definitely making this one.

You've got a point there.  My work schedule is irregular so I might have a few days off right before or after Dan's event, but i've always had work scheduled on that day.  Obviously, I want to work, but I'm "lucky" if it falls on days other than a potential fishin' day, which, for me, are few and far between these days.  Like Dan said, "All work and no DKOpen..."

Is it me or is 22-4 considered a landslide?  Time for a signup then?   ;D

2 months from tomorrow if that is the date.  hope the ice melts by then.
