Title: Michigan Bass Invitational (MBI) meeting
Post by: nitroderrek on February 20, 2008, 02:10:32 PM
The Michigan Bass Invitational (MBI) is a tournament comprised of about 6-8 local clubs and it has been around since the mid 1970's. No big money pots (there is a optional small money pot for big fish 25% and big stringer 75%), we just fish for plaques and a trophy.

This year the MBI is on Lake St. Clair on September 21, 2008.  Membership last year was at 6 clubs. There is room for 2 (or more if one drops out) clubs to join this year.  Each club sends 4 boats, 8 anglers to the tournament, and total weight for the club wins.  Dues from each club are appx $100 to fish the event, which pays for trophies and food after the event.

There will be a manditory Michigan Bass Invitational (MBI) meeting for all clubs interesed in fishing the MBI tournament on Lake St. Clair on September 21, 2008.  This meeting will be held at Bass Pro Shops on Sunday, March 16th at 2:00 pm.  Each club wishing to fish the event must have at least one club representitive attending the meeting.  We will either be upstairs in the archery room, or in the small conference room off of the break room, in the offices just past the rest rooms.

If anyone is interested in joining, they can contact Derrek from the Oakland County Bass Anglers at nitroderrek@yahoo.com. I'm the tournament director this year.
