Title: Has anyone had a Minn Kota motor quick release fail??

This question came up in another thread... I thought is warrented it's own topic as some of use have new motors this year and are considering the quick release mounts.

We mean the quick release itself...Not the bolts pulling out of the cap or any other common problems like that...

Exactly.  I know for a fact I can mount one to my boat and NEVER have a bolt pull out.  BACKING PLATES are a must.
