Title: Help Save Kimmel Fund
Post by: Dan on February 03, 2008, 10:35:23 AM
I am going to be heading to the local bank Monday to open an account for Lt. Dan. After attending Matteson's Fishing Extravaganza yesterday, and watching him sample the homemade softball size cinnamon rolls with inch thick cream cheese frosting and then washing it down with homemade sheet cake in several flavors and cutting the sweet taste with a bowl of potato chips and a couple of hot dogs, he is going to need a treadmill if we expect him to stay healthy enough to keep this forum going. So how about it, what can I count on you for? I know, I know, you want to know what the administration fee is, and I think I can open the account and keep the administrative costs to about 40%.
I can keep the cost down more effectively if we work on even sized donations that run like $100, $200, etc.
I would think this would qualify as a tax deductible contribution. So come on people think big!

PS  The open house at Matteson's was probably better than any I have attended. Great food, fellowship, and very knowledgeable staff. The seminars were very informative. My only complaint, well I have two, was that one, I was behind Kimmel in the food line, and two there was only one Vibraspin prize. I have pictures and a write up on my teardropbass.com blog.

Most agents only get 10% or maybe 15%.  You want 40%!!!!  I think I am going to keep my money in my pocket.  Lt. Dan is on his own.  I am going to count on his wife to keep him healthy.  However, she may be letting him eat himself to death because she may stand to collect a whole bunch of insurance money.

I will volunteer to take over the website if something adverse happens to him because of his eating habits.  Keep on eating Lt. Dan.  Hot dogs, hamburgers, double cheese pizzas.........whatever, you want.  The UAWBigDog says, "If your gonna go, you may as well go fat and happy.  Go BIG or go home."   :P

I wish I could have gone to the Open House yesterday.  I hope to make the one at Wonderland at the end of March.

1) As Randy Ramsey says... you can tell a fisherman is lying... when his lips move - I did NOT have any sheet cake (although it looked good);

2) Dan is an UNAUTHORIZED agent (kind of like an unauthorized story teller...)

I got up early (for breakfast) and so did cfruel (I don't know about the breakfast part for him)... which is why he won the KaRu VibraSpin!!!

DK, that is hilarious.  "I did not have any sheetcake".  That was like when Princess Leah called Han Solo a "half witted, stuck up, scruffy looking, nerf herder" and Han responded "Who's scruffy looking?"   ;D  ;D  ;D

Whoops, I just let my geek side show.  DOH!

Mads, I knew from riding with you last Springin the Kimmel open that you were and are a very knowledgeable angler, but if you know cinnamon rolls that catapaults you to the top of my idol list.
