It's early for the hot pond
Big JC and me are looking at hitting Breast bay looking for Walleye on the 29-30

Good luck

Still getting 5 lb fish on miles roads, and near the mouth. Will probably get out on the lake a few more times, disappear into the woods for a while, and probably get the itch after Thanksgiving ?

Guess I will find out.   Getting boring catching lots of fish on my lake.  If I don't catch anything it will still be fun.

I like the Hot Pond! I don't mind Union Lake either. Or Lake St. Clair! Or a number of other lakes! :D

Even though it seems early for the hot pond, there are other places to fish not too far from there. You can launch at Sterling and fish Brest Bay. You can also hit the hot pond from there as well as launching at Bolles and heading to Brest Bay. So if the hot pond is too warm you've got options. The mouth of the Raisen has some good structure so there will probably be fish there as well.

It's seems early for the hot pond because all the other bites are late. I would say the mouth of the river is just getting going. Water temps yesterday were mid 60's. I haven't seen those temps this time of year in quite a few years. Usually in the mid 50's about now. Lots of bait. With this cooling trend, it should really fire up. Personally I'm thinking LSC Sunday going out of St. Jeans but that's just a thought right now.

Had a pretty good day in the ponds.  Not sure how many i caught probably 50..  Best stretch was 5 in 5 casts.   Got some great Eagle shots to.  Water was 71 degrees all the way back.  Probably won't be back there for a couple weeks now.  The lot was about 1/2 full of trailers.  Guess they are perch fishing south of the launch somewhere.   Only 1 other boat in the ponds.

Love the Hot Ponds. But then I just love fishing wherever so I guess, other then getting bored easy of fishing the same place too much, I guess I'm easy to please! Glad you did well there already. I miss the variety of fish that gang up in there!
