This is an interesting way to do it with a double uni-knot. I still use a Palomar knot myself but I always run the line back through the hook eye. I like the hook he uses too. I'll have to try those at some point.

Geez, that would take me a couple of weeks to tie that knot. But if A/M uses it, there must be a reason. Could it be that he is keeping his bait more parallel to the bottom on a medium to  long cast? That's the only thing I can think of....
